Izzynterview With: Maynuka Sarwar, xitsLillianx and 3lla

Hey guys I'm back with my interview series with the name "Izzynterview" (if you'll pardon the pun!) with some of my lovely youtube friends.

Here's my video for the collab, I hope you enjoy :)

The first person I'm collabing with is Maynuka Sarwar. I found her channel a while ago and became absolutely obsessed with her channel straight away. The videos she posts are about makeup and she also does covers of songs. And let me just tell you, her voice is ammmmaaaaazing! I seriously hope she makes it far in singing.

The second person I'm collabing with is xitsLillianx. I've wanted her to feature on my channel for the longest time ever, because she's literally the biggest sweetheart you can imagine. Her channel consists of makeup tutorials and tags and honestly, there is something for everyone on her channel. She totally deserves more recognition.

The last, but certainly not least, person I'm collabing with is 3lla. She is genuinely such a true friend of mine and I just find her personality so warm and friendly. She does makeup tutorials as well as challenge videos. She also has a vlog channel and I could seriously watch her vlogs all day long. All her videos just really capture viewers because what she says is so interesting and it feels like you're just having a conversation with a friend when you watch her videos. She's super close to 1k subscribers and I can't wait to see her reach it, she really deserves it.

So here was my March Izzynterview, I really hope you enjoyed the video and you check out their channels if you haven't already. They seriously deserve so much support and recognition for their hard work on their channels. The song of the day is Ring The Alarm by Beyonce because when isn't that a tune? Thanks for reading/ watching,

An Easter Tradition

In my house, Easter is a biiiiiiiiggg thing. Every year I look forward to my family's Easter breakfast because it's pretty legendary.

The Easter Bunny knows me well by getting Cadbury and marzipan eggs!

Now although Easter is pretty big here in the UK, my mum still goes the extra mile for Easter. That's because she's German and there they celebrate it big time, but was raised in Romania where apparently it's celebrated even more!

So every year my mum gets filled with excitement for Easter, decorates the whole house including a mini Easter tree, and does lot's of baking.

The eggs that my mum coloured ft a few Easter nests

The Easter nests my sister made. I can confirm they taste delish!

Then on Easter Sunday (although we had to celebrate it on Friday because my mum worked this weekend) we have a yummy continental/mix breakfast. This breakfast always includes toast, hot cross buns, boiled eggs that have been specially coloured or decorated, orange juice, lot's of cheese and of course, lot's and lot's of chocolate Easter eggs.

Let's just say this is one of my favourite family traditions because it involves a lot of food. I'm still full now from stuffing my face at that breakfast, but I still have no regrets. The song of the day is Risk It All by The Vamps, because I recently saw them live and all their songs are still stuck in my head. I hope you're all having a wonderful Easter, do you have any Easter traditions?

Little Mix Get Weird Tour

After 2 years, I finally got the chance to see my faves, Little Mix, again. And let's just say they did not let me down at all!

Here are a few snippets of their performance :)

In case you somehow missed the memo, I'm literally the biggest Little Mix fan going. I've practically memorized every single one of their dance routines of by heart and could recite their lyrics in my sleep. Where are the auditions to be the 5th member being held?

And last Friday I had the amazing life experience of seeing the Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie on their Get Weird Tour. I was genuinely so astonished by their performance, not because I doubted their excellence, but because what they did just looked impossible. I have no idea how they managed to dance for around 2 hours straight, whilst still managing to hit those high/powerful notes.

As always I was in absolute awe by their show. The song of the day is Get Weird by Little Mix, and I think the reason why its that song is obvious. Even if you're not a Little Mix fan, I truly recommend seeing these girls live because they will blow you away. Thank you so much for reading/watching,

A Kick Up The Ol' Backside

A couple of weeks ago my 6th form had it's mock week and now I've had the dreaded day. That's right, results day.

To be honest I was well and truly done with A Levels by the time I sat the mock exams. And by the time mocks rolled round I had a really bad cold and literally couldn't concentrate an anything. Also, despite doing literally nothing but revise up to the exams, I still managed to get a mind blank in literally every exam I did.

You know how you can usually tell how you did in an exam and try to guess what grade you got? Well in my mind here's what grades I felt I got:
  • Psychology- C. I thought I did pretty average across the two psychology mocks. You know, not fantastically, but enough to pass.
  • Chemisty- U. I straight up thought I had no marks on this paper. Mainly because I don't know a thing regarding chemistry but also because I was feeling my worst on the day of that paper.
  • Religious Studies- D. RE was one of my better subjects and even though I completely forgot what to write and made most of it up, I still thought I'd do enough to scrape a few marks here and there.

No here's what I actually got:

If anyone needs tutoring to get excellent results like me, hit me up!

As you can tell it's fairly similar to what I expected, but I'm still not chuffed. In psychology I got an A* in one paper which was surprising, but then I got an E in the second so it got lowered down by quite a bit. In chemistry I managed to scrape 37 marks somehow, but obviously I still need to put a lot of work into that subject. And for RE I simply didn't write enough or answer the questions properly; a recipe for disaster!

Throughout school I've always been a "nerd" and always got fairly good grades so these ones were quite a shock. But the silver lining is that after receiving what is quite possibly the worst results I could have got, I feel extremely motivated to do better. There's still time for me to turn these grades around (hopefully) and I'm resitting exams which should bring my overall grades up anyway.

So... these are my current A Level grades. It's just up to me to spend every minute I can on them and apart from youtube and blogging, I will be doing literally nothing else but revising. I just know I'm capable of doing better and I want my grades to actually reflect the work I'm doing for once. The song of the day is I Took A Pill In Ibiza by Mike Posner (but the original not the remix) because I'm actually so obsessed with it at the moment. Thanks for reading,

The Time I Thought I Was God

So today's video is a lil' unusual! It's about, quite possibly, the weirdest experience I've ever had in my life. And since I basically never shut up about this story in person, I thought it's about time to share it to my youtube channel.

Here's the strange video itself

Long story short, I had an hallucination where I thought that I was God. Yes, like the omnipotent creator of the world. I thought that's what I was...

So I hope you manage to put up with my rather strange story in this video, but I fully understand if you judge me for it. The song of the day is Wings by Little Mix because I'm seeing them live on Friday and I'm sooooo excited. Have you ever had a similar experience? Let me know in the comments,

My Last Dance Show

Yesterday was pretty emotional because I had my last ever dance show with my dance school. I've been attending that school since I was three and I'll be leaving after Easter to focus on my exams which I'm actually gutted about!
Guys hand on my heart I'm doing a weird pose and expression on purpose,
but here is one of the few pictures I have in the actual costumes lol.

The dance shows happen every 2 years so needless to say I've done one or two in my life. This year I did the most dances I've ever done, and when we weren't on stage we were getting changed in a rush backstage. We were all pretty shattered by the end of the two shows that day.

And we did have quite a bit of banter backstage in between shows. We took pictures in costumes (most of which were pretty shocking!) and messed around on the actual stage itself. I always have a lot of fun doing the shows, and all the girls from my dance school are truly so lovely and great friends.

And this is the amazing face I pulled in the group picture which was soon cropped down and made to the profile picture in my dance's group chat... thanks guys!

I'd definitely say that my favourite dance out of the whole show was the one we did to Black Or White. I got to do a big cheesy end movement where I do a heart sign with my hands to the audience and then dramatically wave as I go off. I did almost trip over my own feet whilst doing the waving in the first show, so I wussed out doing it in the second one.

If you didn't already know, I suffer from extreme stage fright and it's actually my biggest fear. You might be like "Izzy why do you do shows then?" and the answer is because I feel like I kinda have to and it's good to try and do things out of your comfort zone. Normally I shake sooooooo much before shows and go into a state of complete panic. But I don't know what happened this year, for some reason I wasn't as nervous as usual. Like don't get me wrong, I was still nervous, but just the normal pre-performance nerves, not the crippling "I can't do this" nerves. I think I actually might be on my way to getting over stage fright!

So this was my last dance show experience, I can't believe how quick it's gone by. The song of the day is Black Or White by Michael Jackson because, as I said before, it was my favourite dance to perform. Do you do any types of shows, and if so what have your experiences been like?

Things I Thought When I Was Younger

It's Wednesday and you know what that means! Another video.

In today's video I decided to write about the weird things I though when I was younger. I clearly had no idea how the world really worked so I just kinda made things up in my head that I thought made sense.

Enjoy listening to the fail of a child I was

The song of the day is Summer Lovin from Grease because it may have sneakily been mentioned in the video. Let me know what you used to think in the comments,

How I Wish I Told People About My YouTube Channel

In today's post I'll be talking about telling people about your youtube channel, how I did it, and how I wish I did it.

For those of you that didn't already know, I've been making videos and posting them on YouTube since November 2013. When I first started I was SO nervous about any people watching, yet alone the people I knew so I kept it a complete and utter secret. The only person that knew was Georgie, because I knew that she was a huge youtube fangirl too so she wouldn't think that if I did it, it would be stupid.

It was completely secret for a few months until a couple of close friends stumbled across it. Luckily it was them that found it because they were so supportive and really encouraged me to keep it up.

At this point my family had nooooo idea that I made videos, since I always filmed videos when they were all out. My sister found out about my channel because I always went on about how I wanted to start a channel and she was like "Izzy I know you already have a channel, there's no way you don't at this point". So I came clean and told her that I did indeed already make my own videos, but I refused to tell her my channel name for ages. Then I found it really awkward telling my parents for ages, because they really didn't understand the point of making youtube videos. I finally told my mum and you can see her reaction in this video. I wish I just told them when I started making videos instead of being so nervous, because once they watched a couple of my videos they were so supportive and kinda got the whole youtube thing. My mum has basically turned into my biggest fangirl/manager now!

But as more time went by, it just became harder and harder to tell people. My initial plan was to just do it by myself, and if people found out themselves I'd explain it to them. However, it just got to the point where it became awkward to tell people because I'd been doing it for so long and it was hard to slip it into conversation. For example, when I started 6th form I made a few new friends and it was just really hard to tell people after a while "oh yeah I forgot to tell you that my biggest hobby is making youtube videos, and I've been doing if for longer than I've known you". So I just spent one weekend messaging my friendship group and just telling them "look I do this thing on youtube, and it's ok if you don't really get why I do it, I just thought I'd tell you because it feels weird you not knowing". I honestly wish I'd done it earlier because they were so supportive and some still watch my videos to this day which is beyond sweet of them.

So here is my little summary of how I recommend you telling people because it's what I wish I did:

  • Tell people straight away- Don't worry if your videos are cringy or embarrassing to start off with, if you tell your friends and family when you start they can come on the youtube journey with you. And who knows, you may even gain a few subscribers like that!
  • Share on your social media- Everyone I spoke to about how they told people from their school/work about their channel said they literally just started sharing their videos on their social media and let people watch it for themselves. This is an easy, non-direct way to let people know about your channel.
  • Don't care about the haters- As long as you enjoy making videos, you are doing youtube right. If someone you know leaves you negative feedback, don't take it personally. Just because someone doesn't understand why making videos makes you happy, it doesn't mean that you have to stop. All the biggest youtubers get hate, and unfortunately it's just part of the job, so don't let it stop you from doing what you really want to do.

So here is how I wish I told people about my youtube channel, because it's just becoming increasingly harder to slip my channel into conversation now. The song of the day is Best Day Of My Life by American Authors because it's just the ultimate feel-good song. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about starting a channel/telling people about your channel. I'd be happy to help!

The Accent Tag: British (West Midlands)

Hey everyone, today I thought I would do a little video dedicated to my accent.

Here's the actual video, I hope you enjoy!

I really don't think I have the strongest accent going, but I've had quite a few questions on it and about where I'm from so I thought it was about time to do this video.

In case you're wondering, I'm from the West Midlands of England. I'm from a town that's near-ish Birmingham and used to actually there, but I really wouldn't class myself as a full-brummie, despite me sometimes slipping back into that accent.

I do have to say that I really hate the sound of my own voice and the way I talk, so reading all the comments about my accent these last few years have really given me a good ol' giggle!

So thank you for reading this post, let me know if you have any further questions about my accent lol. The song of the day is Lay Me Down by Sam Smith because I'm really going through a Sam Smith phase at the moment. Let me know in the comments what your accent is, I'd love to know!
