Summer Achievements

This year's summer holiday was the longest one I'll probably ever get in my life. As I said in my blog post here, there was a list of  5 things I wanted to do by the end of my holiday. Did I make the most of my summer? Well, lets just see...

These were my goals:

1. Blog more- As I had plenty of time on my hands this summer, I decided to spend it doing something I enjoy. Before starting my blog, I never realised how addictive writing is. But now I'm hooked and just can't stop.

2. Exercise- These holidays I've spent a lot of my time at the gym and excising.
*long silence*
I'm not really fooling anyone am I? OK, I did about 2 hours of exercise the whole holiday...

3.Sort out my room- This is something I actually did do. I've been good and organised my makeup collection, sorted out my wardrobe and just had a general tidy.

A before and after pic. I didn't even realise
it would be possible to see the back of my cupboard.

4.Read more- I said in a previous post that my goal this summer was too read all 7 Harry Potter books. That was a bit optimistic of me as I'm slowest reader in the world. Seriously. Somehow I did manage to read up to The Goblet Of Fire though, which is an achievement for me considering I've not read 4 books in my life, yet alone in one holiday.

4 down, 3 to go

5.Social media- A lot of my summer was spent on social media...which may explain why not much exercise and reading was done. I've probably stalked way too many celebrities on Twitter and made too many posts on Tumblr but I regret nothing. I also made two videos for YouTube, one is yet to be uploaded though. That's probably my biggest accomplishment of the summer because I'm so shy I never, ever, ever thought I'd make videos.

The song of the day is
For The First Time by The Script. Thank you for taking the time to read about my summer. What did you get up to this summer?

Get To Know Me Tag (21 questions)

I've seen a few tags floating around the internet and decided that today would be the day I'd try one for myself. I wasn't actually tagged by anyone but decided to give it a go nevertheless. Here are the questions:

1. Are you named after anyone? Not as far as I know. My parents thought of my name right on the spot when I was born. It's not like they had 9 months to think of a name or anything!

2.When was the last time you cried? Yesterday when I saw my neighbours kitten. It was so cute and I just couldn't contain my emotions.

3. Do you have kids? No.

4.If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? I don't think I'd ever get to talk to myself. I'm a really bad conversation starter and if I was in a room with myself I fear we would never get to talking.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Almost too much woops! Oh well you can be British without it.

6.Will you ever bungee jump? Hopefully its on my bucket list.

7.What's your favourite cereal? Honestly I'm not a huge fan of cereal but if I had to chose I would say Special K.

8.What's the first thing you notice about someone? This might sound really cliche, but their smile and personality.

9.What is your eye color? A black/brown colour. Somebody once told me they look like Galaxy chocolate minstrels. Not sure if that's a compliment or not but I'll take it anyway.

10.Scary movie or happy ending? Scary movies all the way. I love the feeling of suspense when you just know somethings about to make you jump out of your seat.

11. Favourite smells? I absolutely adore the smell of roses.

12.Summer or winter? WINTER! I could probably go on forever about why I love winter but to keep it short I just think its a magical time of the year.

13.Computer or television? Computer because I spend my entire life on it.

14.What's the furthest you've been away from home? I went to Cyprus when I was about 5 and flipping loved it.

15.Do you have any special talents? Nothing big that I could potentially build a career upon...just many useless ones such as being able to tell identical twins apart.

16.Where were you born? Solihull in England.

17.What are you're hobbies? YouTube, blogging, social media and fangirling.

18.Do you have any pets? I have two cats (Kitty and Fidget), a hamster (Terry) and two fish. Fun fact: my sister also has stick insects which often escape.

19. Favourite movie? Harry Potter. Realistically,I've probably seen all the films about 200 times.

20.Do you have any siblings? No. Just kidding, as I said earlier, I have a younger sister.

21.What do you want to be when you grow up? A crazy cat lady and fangirl. In terms of a career though I have no idea. Is it possible to be a professional interneter or full-time fangirl?

Germany 2014

As I said in my last blog post (here) every year me and my family go on holiday to Germany. We usually stop for about four weeks and this is what we got up to this time.

One of the best parts of going is seeing friends and family there. We stopped with my Opa (Grandad) and met up with friends throughout the holiday.

After a couple of days in Germany we took a ferry over to Switzerland to visit my uncle, aunt and cousin who live there. One of my favourite things to do in Switzerland is to see lakes or go up mountains. This year I was lucky enough to do both. We also arrived to see the firework display and bonfire they have on their national holiday. Unfortunately its a ridiculously expensive country. I mean 240 Euros for pizza for 7 people is quite expensive I'd say!
The bonfire display in Switzerland

Which brings me onto another favioute part of the holiday...food!!! Somehow I always manage to eat twice as much food on holiday but I'm not complaining.
The cake shop that I didn't want to leave

We also love to pop to the the outdoor swimming pools and get a tan. The weather in Germany wasn't great this year (but still better than rainy England) so we only managed to go swimming outside 3 times.

When the weather isn't good, much like this year, I love going to the indoor swimming pool. Its one of the coolest swimming pools I've been to, the best part being two massive water slides.

Such a poser!

And because there is just too much to write about here's some pictures. After all, a picture speaks 1000 words.

(Credit to my mum for taking all these pictures)

Literally miss being on holiday so much and cant wait to go back again next year. The song of the day is Rude by Magic because I probably heard it about 200 times on holiday.
