Blogmas, Day 12 (2016) | Weekly Summary Post: 2nd Week Of December

I'm literally not doing very well at this whole blogging every day thing am I?

I've wanted to post my summary post yesterday, as I always post that on Sundays. But I've not been feeling the best lately. I mean it is all self inflicted from it being party season, and let's face it the days following nights out aren't always the most fun. And yesterday's blog post ended up not happening so here it is one day later. I promise, Christmas posts will be back on my blogmas theme very soon.

And I just wanted to share these videos on my blog anyway for a little promo. If you're involved in the whole youtube world, you'll know that there's been a few issues with their views. So if you haven't watched these videos yet, it would be much appreciated :)

60 Second Winter Berry Makeup Look

I was really in the mood to do a short makeup look, and what better way to share it than by doing the 60 second makeup tutorial video.

Mental Health & The Holidays

And as you guys know I'm a strong believer in mental health awareness. So I decided to share a video about how difficult this season can be for people struggling with mental health issues.

So thank you very much for reading my little catch up post. The song of the day is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, but the Micheal Buble version of course! Thanks for reading,

Blogmas, Day 10 (2016) | My Pinterest Winter Inspirations

Woop woop we're in the double digits of blogmas already! How fast has that gone by?

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I've just posted a blogmas related post on my other blog which you can check out here! It's all about what pictures I've been loving on pinterest lately, if you're interested in checking it out ;)

Again, I've posted it over at Izzy K Reviews & Chats because it just suits the theme of that blog better than my lifestyle one which is this one. But I didn't want to miss another blogmas day so I thought I'd update it here. The song of the day is Baby Please Come Home, but the Little Mix version. I hope you enjoyed this little update,

Blogmas, Day 9 (2016) | Things I'm Thankful For

Hey guys I'm truly disappointed in myself for not posting yesterday. I had this post planned to go up yesterday, but I ended up stopping out later than I thought after work so I didn't have time to publish it yesterday *slaps wrist* So I've already skipped a blogmas post woops!

It's that time of year where I'm just feeling so incredibly grateful for all the wonderful people and things in my life. I'm either the soppiest person in the world or not at all. Like there's no in between, but at the moment I'm feeling very gushy so I thought I'd share my thankfulness with the blog squad (that's you, the reader btw)

So here is a list of things that I'm am grateful for, to the moon and back. I'm certain that not everything I'm grateful for will be on the list, because let's face it, there's a lot and some things just slip my mind. So off the top of my head I'm grateful for:

  • My family for being very supportive for me wanting to study media and follow my dream career
  • When my mum can drop me into work in the morning and save me having to take the bus
  • The fact that when I do need to take the bus, it stops literally right outside my house
  • When I get back from work and my dinner's already cooked
  • Green tea
  • The fact I was able to take a gap year to clear my head about what I actually want to do with my life
  • My friends for all being such sweethearts. Like genuinely I couldn't ask for a better squad
  • The fact that I actually have a job and enjoy it quite a bit
  • When customers are actually nice at work. Some are such a nightmare, but some can be absolute cuties
  • People who actually laugh at my jokes (like I can't believe there are people out there who do, but sometimes people actually put up with me)
  • The fact that I've been supported with my passion of creating online content
  • My readers and viewers who have made the last 3 years of youtube and blogging such an enjoyable experience
  • The fact that I have food on my table and a roof over my head.
There ya go, a list of things I'm thankful for. I just think it's so so important to not take the things in your life for granted, because you never know when it might all be gone. The song of the day is Love Me Like You by Little Mix because it actually sounds quite Christmassy. Thank you for reading, what are you grateful for?

Blogmas, Day 7 (2016) | How To Make The Most Of Christmas Whilst Working

I surely can't be the only one that's been finding juggling life and Christmas celebrations quite the difficult task. And as some of you may know, I've recently left education which means I'm now working. Although I'm only part time, I've still been finding organizing life in general quite the challenge. So I've come up with a few tips and if you're finding yourself in a similar situation I hope this post is useful.

My tips for making the most of Christmas whilst working are:

1. Start Preparation Early- Get those Christmas present lists sorted asap. Write down everyone you're planning on getting presents for and write down what you think they might like. Then, when the sales creep up, you'll know exactly what you need to get. Also, if you're hosting a Christmas party/meal I definitley recommend planning early too. That will give you time to ask/work out what you're guests will be needing, and of course give you plenty of time to put those plans into action.

2. Sort Out Your Budget- This is quite possibly the most important step, as you want to know how much money you're able to spend. I think we all can relate to how expensive this time of year is, so it's good to know what you're working with. What I've been doing is working out how much I'll get paid this month, taking away the money I'll need for everyday things (train tickets, food etc) and then taking away anything that I might want to put in my savings. I'm starting to have a clear idea of what my budget for Christmas presents is, and it's good to work with a clear amount in mind.

3. Write A To-do List- I literally live by my to-do lists and I'd be so lost without it. But something I've been doing throughout December is writing deadlines of when everything needs to be done. I know exactly when I'm going to buy which presents, and I know what other life things need to be done by the end of December too. This has really truly helped reduce stress.

4. Learn To Switch Off- Ok, I'll admit it... this is something I'm absolutely rubbish at. I like to keep working until everything on my to-do list is complete. But reducing stress as much as possible during this time of year is so incredibly important. Let's face it, we'd all rather be like Buddy the Elf instead of the Grinch, but sometimes the holiday stress can make us feel more like the latter. But you need to give yourself credit for a hard day's work, and accept the fact you're allowed to put your feet up and relax.

5. Plan In Nice Things To Do- Don't get me wrong, working hard is important, but so is playing hard. Doing fun things like hanging out with friends is a great way to switch off from "work mode". And let's face it, spending time with family and friends is what this time of year is all about.

6. Enjoy The Festive Spirit- I know a lot of us will be doing overtime at work throughout the holidays, especially if you work in retail. But if you're doing something during the Christmas season, you may as well make the most of it, even if it's only work. You go and enjoy the Christmas tunes they might be playing in the background of your office, enjoy the street lights you can see from your window, smile and talk to people about Christmas in general. I mean who doesn't love a good ol' natter about the holidays and what you'll be getting up to?!

So there's my little post about how to be busy during the festive season, yet make the most of it. There's nothing worse than letting the best time of year pass you by without you realising, just because you were too busy. The song of the day is It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year by Andy Williams. Are you busy at this time of year? Let me know what you're up to in the comments,

Blogmas, Day 6 (2016) | St Nicholas Day

Happy 6th of December, aka St Nicholas Day. I know that some of you may celebrate it, in which case I hope you had a great day. And for those of you that don't know what this day is, this post is the one for you!

St Nicholas is celebrated in a few countries around the world where Christianity is celebrated. One of these countries where it is strongly practiced is Germany, and as some of you may know I'm part German.

It's traditional on the evening of the 5th of December to leave your boots out for St Nick. And then, much like Santa (would you believe it!) he decides on whether or not you've been naughty or nice all year. If you've been good he fills your boots with sweets and treats. And if not, I believe he's meant to leave a stick or coal as a punishment. That way, you find out in the morning if you've been good or not!

This is a tradition that my family that we've been practicing since me and my sister were children, and that my mum grew up knowing too. This year was no exception, and I'm very very thankful that "St Nicholas" stopped by for another year. "He" was kind enough to leave me some lovely chocolates, marzipan (my ultimate bae), a gingerbread house which is awesome, and the world's coolest Christmas jumper.

My new swag jumper!

I hope you all had a lovely December 6th, whether you celebrated or not :) The song of the day is Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid. Do you celebrate St Nicholas day, or do you have any of your own traditions at this time of year? Let me know in the comments,

Blogmas, Day 5 (2016) | Christmas Playlist

That's right, it's time for an actual Christmas related blogmas post from me! And what better way to talk about Christmas, than to mention all the top festive tunes?

I don't know about you but I'm obsessed with making spotify playlists. I have a playlist for absolutely every mood and playlists of every genre. You name it, I've made a playlist for it! That's why, around October time, I started to put together my very own lists of songs that I need to listen to throughout the holidays.

So I've made a list of every song that's a top tune for this time of year. You're welcome fellow Christmas lovers ;)

  • Santa Tell Me (Ariana Grande)
  • All I Want For Christmas Is You (Mariah Carey)
  • Last Christmas (Wham!)
  • It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year (Andy Williams)
  • Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! (Frank Sinatra)
  • Merry Christmas Everyone (Shakin' Stevens)
  • 8 Days Of Christmas (Destiny's Child)
  • Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Christina Aguilera)
  • Shake Up Christmas (Train)
  • Baby Please Come Home (Darlene Love)
  • Fairytale of New York (The Pogues ft Kirsty Macoll)
  • Driving Home For Christmas (Chris Rea)
  • I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday (Wizzard)
  • Lonley This Christmas (Mud)
  • The Power Of Love (Gabrielle Aplin)
  • Santa Baby (Kylie Minogue)
  • Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree (Brenda Lee)
  • Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons)
  •  Do They Know It's Christmas (Band Aid)
  • Mistletoe & Wine (Cliff Richard)
  • Stop the Cavalry (Jona Lewie)
  • Step Into Christmas (Elton John)
  • Wonderful Christmas (Paul McCartney)
  • Mistletoe (Justin Bieber)
So there we are, every song that I'll be playing non-stop throughout December. The song of the day will actually be everysong from this list, because how can I even pick one? Please let me know if you think I've missed an absolute classic from the list. Thanks for reading and what are your favourite Christmas songs? Let me know in the comments,

Blogmas, Day 4 (2016) | Weekly Summary Post: 1st Week of December

Phewwww that was a long title!

Sorry today isn't really a Christmas themed post (again!) I do promise they're on their way shortly. But you guys know I like to update my blog with what I've been posting on my channel throughout the week. So here we go:

Izzynterview With: CHRISSY and TriTri

This will be my last Izzynterview for a little while, because I've come up with another sort of series which I think will work a bit better. But in case you didn't know, Izzynterviews are where I interview my youtube friends in a little collab. This month the absolutely wonderful and gorgeous CHRISSY and TriTri took part and I seriously love these girlies so much!

Reverse Contouring and Highlighting

And next up I have this video which I originally saw on Katie Barnett's channel. She had me in absolute stitches and I just knew I wanted to give this fun challenge a go myself lol!

So there you are, my little catch up post is complete. I haven't really mentioned Christmas yet in this blogmas post so the song of the day is Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. I hope you're all enjoying blogmas :)

Blogmas, Day 3 (2016) | Top 5 Winter Makeup Items

Hey guys,

Today I've posted about all my favourite Winter makeup items. However, this suits the theme of my other blog much better so I posted it over on Izzy K: Reviews & Chats and you can check out that post here.

The song of the day is Jingle Bell Rock (The Mean Girl's version of course!) Sorry this post was short and sweet, but I just wanted to share my post on here to keep my blogmas going on this blog if that makes sense lol! What are your favourite makeup items for this time of year?

Blogmas, Day 2 (2016) | Life Ups & Downs

Hi guys,

Today's post won't actually be "Christmassy" as such, it will be more of a life update. I know, I know, day 2 of blogmas and I've already gone off topic, but I just had a few things I wanted to share.

I don't know what it is about this time of year, but for some reason life's ups and downs seem to exaggerated and turned more dramatic. I mean, you have the obvious ups from the holidays and the Christmas spirit, the festive music and obviously the food (lots and lots of food). But then you also have the holiday stress, such as sorting out presents, finding time to see everyone, and having to stay on top of life in general.

I'm the sort of person who is genuinely really overdramatic for no reason. I seriously need to find ways to cope with stress because, in general I have a hard time with it anyway. So any type of pressure turns "normal-stressed-out-Izzy" into "Super-stressed-out-Izzy", so basically I need to find a way to chill.

One thing that's been causing a bit of the ol' stress is the fact that yesterday I sat my driving test... again... and still managed to fail it. For some reason, I can never cope well in an exam environment. Under normal conditions, sure I can do it. But as soon as you say the words "test" my body turns to jelly and my mind to mush, so good luck getting me to do anything. I just find it particularly annoying because the waiting list for taking the test is so long, and I really want to just tick off having passed my driving test.

On top of that I've just been generally stressed about life admin. I'm supposed to be applying for uni, yet I have no idea what uni to go to, or how to write my personal statement. As you may have gathered from my blog already, writing is not my strong point. On top of that I really really really want to spend more time with my friends and family this holiday. Apart from that all takes time and often money that I don't have. Especially when I want to treat my friends with presents anyway because they really deserve it for being the best people alive. It just seems like when you manage to squeeze in time to meet up with people during the holidays, you don't have the money. And when you do have the money, you can't find the time urrghh!

But I refuse to simply look at the negative sides of things. It's blogmas, and there's no need for constant pessimism. You gotta take into account the little things in life and really appreciate them. For example, I'm always under the impression that everyone can do everything so much better than I can. But I get little reassurements here and there that I actually do know some things. Like, for example, one of the managers at my work asked me a question because she needed my help. And I could actually answer it... correctly!

And apart from that, the ups are surrounding us all this time of year, it's just a matter of spotting all the small things in life. I'm learning to really appreciate things and not take them for granted. The sorts of things that really make my day now are the following:

  • When my mum has my tea cooked for me ready for when I get back from work
  • Admiring the Christmas lights on the streets
  • The dark evenings which make you feel really cosy when you're wrapped up in bed
  • Scented candles
  • Hanging out with friends
  • Watching  and quoating all your favourite Christmas movies
  • All the Christmas tuuuunes!

So in general I do have to say my life really isn't worth complaining about that much and I do have things to be extremely grateful for. Wow writing this post actually was kinda like therapy. I think it's just a matter of me not being melodramatic and overact when I start to feel like I'm losing control of things.

The moral of this post is don't worry be happy now. And with that said the song of the day is Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin. I hope you're all having a lovely December,

Blogmas, Day 1 (2016) | Another Year!

Yes that's right, it's time for that time of year again...BLOGMAS!

I'm very excited to announce that it's officiallly my 3rd year taking part in Blogmas (where you write everyday in December until the 25th in case you're wondering) and I honestly couldn't imagine December without this little tradition anymore. Ever since the 26th of December 2015 I've been excited to write this very post, announcing that I'll be doing it again #notevenjoking

So I'm gonna do my absolute best to post every single day. Because who even needs to finish their uni application before the deadline when you can update a few people who are interested to read about your life, right?! And every Saturday I'll be doing my proper post on my other blog, Izzy K: Reviews & Chats just to keep that going through December too.

Initially I was hoping to do Vlogmas this year. The last 2 years that I took part in Blogmas I was still in 6th form and sitting my A Levels, so I had no time to vlog every single day and get it up. And I convinced myself I'd be able to do vlogmas in my gap year, but alas it hasn't quite turned out that way. Unfortunately, I'm pretty busy with work, uni applications and just life in general. So I'm not even joking when I say there's no way anyone would want me to daily vlog because all it would be is me announcing that I've come home from work and that I'm watching youtube.

And I just thought I'd update you on what will be different about this year's Blogmas. Instead of posting about Christmas every single day, I'll through the odd life update in there too. So in a way I'll be doing daily blogging, instead of daily vlogging. It's not that I don't love Christmas, because anyone that knows me, knows that's not the case at all! It's simply just that I've covered most of the typical Christmas topics in previous years and I don't want to cheat blogmas by repeating blog posts. So I'm gonna be switching it up between Christmas themed posts, or random posts.

There we are, Blogmas 2016 has officially begun and I can't wait to read everyone else's posts! The song of the day is Fairytale of New York by The Pogues because that's my all time favourite Christmas song. Are you taking part in Blogmas this year?

Weekly Summary: 4th Week Of November

Hi guys, it's a very sleep deprived Izzy typing this now and I just wanted to get this post up to share what I've uploaded on my channel this week, in case you missed it!

Transforming My Mum Into Me

Me and my mum had a huge laugh filming this video. I basically "turned my mum into me" by putting my makeup on her. The result was definitely interesting to say the least lmao!

November favourites

And today I uploaded my November Favourites where I talk about everything that I've been loving this month. And I decided to rock the purple makeup because, well, why not?!

Thank you very much for reading and watching. The song of the day is Drown Me Out by Ed Sheeran. I hope you're all having a lovely weekend,

The Sunshine Blog Award

Hey everyone,

Today I decided to do the Sunshine Blog Award because I was so kindly nominated to do it by my wonderful blogging buddy Lou, who's post you can check out here! Honestly every single post she writes is perfection, so you'd be missing out by not reading her blog :)

The Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog in your blog post
2. Answer the 11 questions that your nominator has asked you
3. Nominate 11 blogs to receive the award
4. Come up with 11 questions to ask the bloggers you have nominated
5. List the rules and include the sunshine blogger award logo in your post:

Lou's questions:

1. Where do you want to be this time next year?

I literally couldn't even tell you. I can't tell you what I want to be doing this time next year, nor what my plans are. Right now I'm looking at going to uni to study media, but who knows what life has in store for me!

2. Who is the most important person in your life right now?

I honestly think it would be unfair to pick just one person. I'm truly blessed that 99.9% of the people in my life right now are absolute saints and they honestly keep me (somewhat) sane. So the most important people in my life at the moment are all my friends and family, and I'm truly so thankful to have them in my life #cheesealert

3. Who is your favourite blogger/vlogger right now?

Oooooooh that's a tough one! I have so many wonderful blogger and youtube friends that it's so difficult to pick just the one. I'd say my fave bloggers are everyone in Beau Bloggers, they always manage to put a smile on my face. And I'll be adding a feature on my channel where I link all my youtube friends in soon if you're interested in seeing who my faves are ;)

4. If you could create a superhero, what would you name them and what would their powers be?

I honestly think about what sort of superhero I would be a lot, so I'm guessing the superhero I'd create would be like that. My dream superpower would be to never feel tired, so I can be 110% productive at all times during the day. I'm a bit of a workaholic and I can never just have a chill moment because it honestly drives me crazy, and sleeping just seems like a chore to me. So if there was a way to never sleep again, I'd take that chance in a heartbeat.

5. What video always makes you smile? Link it to make someone else smile?

I dare you to watch this without cracking a smile! :)

6. What was the last movie you watched? What did you think of it?

I watched Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them last night in the cinema and I loooooooveeeed it! I'm probably the biggest Harry Potter fan going so I just wanted to relive that experience of watching a Harry Potter (kinda) film again for the first time. And I really liked the fact you got to see a completely different part of the wizarding world, since it was set in a different country and time era. Arrghhhh I could just watch anything to do with Harry Potter 24/7

7. What cancelled TV show would you bring back for one more season?

I've been binge watching Gavin and Stacey over and over so definitely that. I don't think it was ever cancelled, I believe it just finished. Although, I personally think it had another good few seasons left in it!

8. If you could be in a movie or TV show (as yourself), which would you most fit into?

Harry Potter (I think my obsession is too real). My entire childhood was filled with waiting for my Hogwarts letter, so I think the passion would definitely be there if I was cast to be a part of that franchise.

9. What's your favourite song of all time?

Photograph by Ed Sheeran. I don't think I need to even explain why this beautiful song is my fave to anyone that's ever heard it, and if you haven't heard it yet please do:

10. If you had everything you've ever wanted, what would you be doing right now?

Hmmm this is tricky because I genuinely don't know what I want from life. All I do know is my makeup collection would be hella big omfg!

11. If you had married your first celebrity crush, who would you be married to right now?

I can't quite remember my first ever celebrity crush for certain, but I'm pretty sure it must have been Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series (omg I swear I didn't even want to mention HP that much in this post!)

My questions:

1. How long did you think about starting a blog, before you actually started blogging?
2. Are you more of a Winter or Summer fan?
3. What are three things that you look forward to every year, and why?
4. Do you still remember the first blog post you ever read? If so, what was it?
5. What is one TV show you can't help but binge watch?
6. X-factor or Strictly? (or neither!)
7. If you had to delete one of your social media accounts forever, what would you choose?
8. What was the name of your first ever pet, if you had one?
9. Do you have a bad habit that you'd like to cut down on?
10. If you could watch any film/ read any book again for the first time, what would you pick?
11. What does blogging mean to you?

So thank you very much Lou for tagging me in this post, I had so much fun writing it. I won't be tagging 11 specific people for this post, simply because I know that a lot of people that I would tag have already been nominated. So if you'd like to do this post yourself please let me know and feel free to answer the questions that I asked above. Thank you for reading, the song of the day is Oops by Little Mix,

Internet Communties

I recently celebrated my 3rd year youtube anniversary and it got me thinking about all the people I got to know within those years. It's so crazy to think that this major hobby of mine has been a part of my life for that long already, because it honestly feels like yesterday that I started posting videos. And over those years I've somehow ended up in a really wonderful, supportive community across all my social media platforms. So I just wanted to write this post as acknowledgement that you guys are seriously the best people ever, and for me to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in this little internet community.

#tbt Summer In The City where I got to meet so many of the people
I've been watching for ages!

Honestly, I just find internet communities and friendships the coolest thing ever. I class an internet community as anyone who reads/watches each other's content, leaves wonderful comments, or maybe just silently sits there and likes posts. The internet truly is just such an amazing invention, because it's just so awesome that it connects people from all over the world. It might also be the case for some people that without social media, they would have never stumbled across each other in their everyday lives. So it's really incredible that it unites people on a global scale.

In "real life" I've always been shy and quiet. In all honestly I just used to find it really difficult to gain the confidence to be able to speak to people face to face. I'm literally the most awkward person going so social interactions used to just go disastrously. But the great think about the internet is you can get to know people, whilst being behind the keyboard.

Its through the internet that I actually realised that there's people just like me out there. People with the same passions and interests. People with the same music taste and people who enjoy watching the same youtubers as me. I can't even tell you the amount of confidence that interacting with people over the internet gives me on an every day basis. It's made me feel like less of an outsider, and it's truly given me a place where I feel I belong.

And as time passes I'm starting to get more real life friends though the internet, which is something I never thought would happen. Like I never in a million years thought anyone would be interested in me or what I post online. Youtube events such as Summer In The City bring me so much joy you wouldn't even believe. It's such a surreal feeling knowing someone through their blog or channel for ages, and then finally meeting them in person.

I would well and truly class internet friendships just as valid as real life friendships. Like, I can guarantee a lot of my online buddies know just as much about me as people who I see on an everyday basis and vice versa.

So overall I just really wanted to say I can't believe that there's people out there who honestly spend time in their day interacting with me via social media. I've honestly been welcomed into the warmest, kindest internet groups and you guys have no idea how sweet you all are. Like, I seriously thought I'd get flooded with hate comments when I started being more active on social media. Thank you so much to everyone that's supported me with my content. I've really enjoyed getting to know you all well too, and forming friendships on line. The song of the day is I Need You by N Dubz because it's next on my playlist lmao. So this cheesy post is coming to an end and I just wanted to say thank you once again,

Weekly Summary: 1st Week Of November

As you guys might already know, every week I do a summary post of the videos you might have missed on my channel this week. So here we go:

Sick Day Essentials

When I was prefilming a couple of videos I was also battling with a cold. So I decided to finish the batch of videos up with a "sick day essentials" video. This is definitely a silly video, but I hope it was still kinda useful.

My 3rd Youtube Birthday

I really can't believe it, but on the 11th of November I celebrated my 3rd Year Youtube Birthday! I honestly can't even put into words the amount of fun I've had making videos, or the way in which making videos has changed my life. This might sound dramatic since I'm still a pretty small youtuber, but I didn't really have a hobby before youtube and it's so great just to wake up in the mornings and have a passion. Thank you so much to everyone that's supported my channel and blog.

Thank you so much for reading. The song of the day is High Hopes by Kodaline. Thank you sooooooo much to anyone that's supported me :)

The Autumn Tag

As you may already know because I never shut up about it, this is my favourite time of year. As Winter is now fast approaching (not that I'm complaining) I thought I'd make the most of Autumn by doing an autumnal tag. So here we go:

1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

For me it's the start of September. I just feel like it's when people start to go back to work/school after the Summer holidays and everyone starts to get excited for the upcoming months. It's like everyone goes "goodbye Summer, hello pumpkin spice!"

2. What is your favourite fall scent?

I'm not sure if it's a fall scent or a Christmas scent, but I'm a sucker for cinnamon. So I've brought as many cinnamon scented candles as my bank account can cope with and I keep sniffing them.

3. What is your favourite Autumn colour?

For me I just luuurrrve burgundy. I love berry coloured lips, paired with the same coloured jumper. I just feel like that look slays.

4. What is your favourite Fall drink?

Costa have released their Christmas drinks already so I've been loving them! My favourite one is their Lindt hot chocolate.

5. What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this fall?

AMERICAN HORROR STORY AMERICAN HORROR STORY AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Although I'm still waiting for Netflix to add season 6 because it's supposed to be incredible.

6. What is your favourite Fall fashion trend?

I love little hats, I only wish I could pull them off. But at the moment I'm loving bomber jacket and I just got the cutest one from New Look!

7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

I would say pumpkin carving, but I recently discovered I'm allergic to pumpkins #wounded! But I genuinely am loving reading other people's blogs when they talk about all the things they've been getting up to this season, and admiring the lovely photos they've taken. I'm just too nosey for my own good.

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

Berry lips for sure! I'm a huge fan of red and purple lips, and I do love a good combo of both. My all time favourite lipstick for this season (just in case you were wondering lmao) is Glastonberry by Charlotte Tilbury.
Look how beautiful this colour is!

Thank you so much for reading and feel free to give this tag a go yourself if you love autumn as much as I do. The song of the day is Ride by 21 Pilots. Have a lovely day,

Weekly Summary: Last Week Of October & First Week Of November

Hey guys it's time for my weekly summary post of what I've uploaded on my channel. Only this week I'll be sharing my uploads from the last 2 weeks since I couldn't do a summary last Sunday.

So here we go this is what you might have missed on my channel lately:

First of all I uploaded my Izzynterview video. This is where I "interview" 3 of my youtube friends on my channel in the form of a collab. This month I collabed with my wonderful friends XOXOnella and Nic Nac. Please check out their wonderful channels if you haven't already!

Next up I have my October faves. I think you guys all know how favourite videos work; I basically just talk about what I've been loving this month.

Then I talked all about my tragic eyebrow past and included very embarrassing pictures from my awkward eyebrow stages! I also included my current eyebrow routine if anyone is interested in seeing that.

And since I've been watching a lot of Netflix lately I decided to some of my all time favourite TV shows that I definitely recommend you watching.

Thank you very much for reading and possibly watching. The song of the day is The Greatest by Sia. I hope you all have a lovely week :)

Bonfire Night Essentials

Remember, remember the 5th of November...

Bonfire night is fast approaching which means it's time for the preparation. This is one of my favourite times of the year because I just think it's the perfect time to celebrate. It's right in the middle of Autumn and Winter, which are my favourite seasons, and it's just such a festive time of year to have a little gathering.

So without further ado here are what I class as "essentials" for Bonfire Night:

1. A Bonfire- I think it goes without saying you can't have Bonfire Night without a bonfire. It's a great tradition to gather up with family and friends and roast marshmallows.

2. Warm clothes- Considering Bonfire Night takes place in November, you clearly need to wrap up warm. I suggest a nice bobble hat, a woolly jumper and thick gloves.

3. Chili con carne- Or since I'm veggie, I like to call it chili "non" carne. I really doubt this is an "essential" for everyone. But every time my family got together on November 5th we'd always have chili and jacket potatoes to eat haha! I think it's just the perfect meal to warm you up in the cold winter evenings.

4. Fireworks- Go find yourself the nearest fireworks display and enjoy an evening of watching the sky turn pretty colours. Who doesn't love a good ol' firework display?!

5. Sparklers- These are basically like mini fireworks... BUT IN YOUR HANDS! And less dangerous of course. But with that said, please remember to wear your gloves (which I mentioned earlier) and stay safe!

So who else loves Bonfire Night as much as me? (Probably not Guy Fawkes eh?) The song of the day is Superstar by Jamelia because I've been jamming to it all day. Thanks for reading,

GOMO: Warwick Castle

We've all heard of FOMO right? Well, if not, it's the "fear of missing out". So this month I came across Eventbrite, the largest self-services ticketing platform in the world that helps people find and plan their events, and their plans to help promote GOMO. This stands for "get out more often" which is an idea I fully stand behind.

The castle at night

I haven't been sponsored or asked to share anything in particular about this service, I just thought I'd share my honest opinion of it. A service I particularly like is the event planning & management page. which helps support local event creation. Feel free to check out their services if you have an event you'd like to buy tickets for in the near future.

Yesterday, on the 29th of October, me and Georgie decided to pop down to Warwick Castle's haunted castle event for a bit of spooking. This event happens every year, but it was my first year going and I was really excited.

The first event we went to was the Castle Dungeon, which we had to book in advance to arriving there. We were greeted by a Jester who then led us into the dark and dangerous dungeons. In every room there was an actor (who were all pretty authentic and enthusiastic can I just say) who really added to the experience. They told us about the torture techniques that were really used there hundreds of years ago, which made the whole experience just that bit more terrifying since it wasn't just stories... it actually happened!

The display for the castle dungeon

The second event we went to was Outbreak 1349, which was all about the Black Death and it's victims. We were all instructed to stand in a line and place our hands on the shoulders of the person in front of us. We then walked (and ran) through a series of rooms where actors were jumping out, lights were flashing, and there was something around every corner. This was the shortest of events we went in, although the experience was very intense and fun while it lasted.

The lit up walk to the castle

The last of the events that we went to was called Tormented. This was all about ghosts that lived in the castle itself and I found it the scariest by far. There was a bit where I thought a doll was literally going to jump out of the stand and I screamed. Then there was a part where the lights would flash on and off, and each time the actors would move around the room and stand in front of people and make them jump. Luckily for me and Georgie, they seemed to always reappear in front of our faces and, again, I screamed!

A display of two knights on the castle wall

And the whole experience of being at the haunted castle was exciting too. They really went all out with the decorations, filling the grounds with creepy lights. My favourite decoration was a giant witches cauldron that was filled with red lights and a steam machine to give it a bubbling effect. And in between your queuing times you could visit their Horrible History maze or walk down their Halloween trail filled with creepy Halloween decorations!

So all in all this experience was a lot of fun, and if you live in the Midlands area I would definitely recommend you go to Warwick Castle next Halloween. It's definitely suitable for anyone of any age if they love horror. I've definitely been motivated to GOMO throughout the year and I hope you have been too. The song of the day is This Is Halloween from the Nightmare Before Christmas because Georgie wouldn't stop singing it last night lmao,

50 Deep Questions Tag

Guess who's randomly really motivated to write blog posts? Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So today I'll be answering the questions from the "50 Deep Questions Tag". I originally saw this tag on Louleecutie.blogspot.com and she has the most amazing blog so please check out her answers here if you haven't already! I just knew when I read the questions that I had to answer them myself, so here they are:

1. What's your passion?

Media. In all shapes and form. I've always enjoyed watching TV and films because the whole concept of how they are made and put together really fascinated me. Then as a got older I started really enjoying expressing myself on social media, since I found it a lot easier to do there than in person. I've never been the most artistic person ever, so I turned to social media sites such as youtube and my blog as a form of creative outlet instead.

2. What would you do in life if you did not need to work for money?

Youtube, blogging and did I mention youtube? Literally all I do outside of work is film and edit videos, read/write blog posts and communicate with other content creaters. I think I have a social media addiction woops!

3. Where do you want to be in 5, 10, 20 or 40 years?

In 5 years I'd like to have graduated university (that's if I do decide to go) and have some sort of idea of what I want to do with my life. In 10 years I'd like to have a really really sucessful career going, gotta earn that $$$. And not to sound morbid AF but I've always kinda had the gut feeling I won't have the longest of lives. I don't know why I have that feeling, but I means I always do make the most of the moment. So who knows where I'll be in 20 or even 40 years!

4. What are your fundamental life values?

Try hard. Everyday. Make every moment count for something, like I said you never know how many moments you've got left.

5. Who are the 3 most important people in your life?

I honestly think every person in my life is important. My friends and family are honestly the most important thing in my life and they keep me sane (or as sane as I can be!)

6. What is your biggest dream?

I really really really want to need to have a successful career in media. Like that's the only thing I can see myself doing and it's what I aspire to have every second of every day. My ultimate dream would to have my own successful social media business, but I've got a way to go to reach that goal yet!

7. How much are you willing to sacrifice for your dream to come true?

Everything! I'm willing to sacrifice any social life I have to focus hard on getting there. I've always been the sort of person to set aside my physical needs to get things done. If I need to skip meals, pull an all nighter, and sacrifice my mental sanity to make sure something will happen, that's exactly what will happen.

8. What are the three things in your life that you'd like to change?

The first thing I wish I could change is being a less anxious person. I recently plucked up the courage to go to the Doctor's and seek help for my stress and anxiety and I was diagnosed with having abnormal levels of anxiety. I just feel like it holds me back soooo much in life and it drives me crazy!

The second thing I'd like to change is my talent for editing and creativity. All I want in life is to be able to edit my videos professionally and come up with really good ideas, however all that seems to take me a lot more time than everyone else and I just don't have an artistic bone in my body!

The third thing I'd like to change is being a better friend. My friends are honestly the greatest people I could ever imagine having in my life and I just wish I was able to thank them more. I just wish I had enough time to meet up with them more, and money to be able to spoil them with lots of presents that they deserve!

9. When was the last time you laughed out loud?

When I watched the new Bridget Jones movie. I was crying-laughing at every scene and so was the rest of the cinema. I don't think I've ever seen so many people in the same room be in as much hysterics as whilst watching that film.

10. What are you grateful for?

Definitely the wonderful and supportive people that I've been blessed enough to have in my life. Also my health. It's really not something I take for granted anymore, hence why I'm making more of an effort to eat healthier and look after myself.

11. When was the last time you tried something new?

I make it a personal goal of mine to try something new everyday. Even if it's something small, like the other day at work I had to go on the tills in the food hall of the shop I work in, rather than the tills in the clothes. It's nothing big, but I was still proud of myself for learning how to work the two different types of tills lol!

12. When was the last time you did something spontaneously?

The last spontaneous thing I did was ring the Doctor up out of the blue because I really felt like it was a time for an appointment, if that counts?

13. Which are the most memorable moments from your past?

Definitely going to Summer In The City this Summer. I was finally in a room filled with people who have the same passion as me, and I got to meet so many wonderful people. It was definitely an experience I'll never forget!

14. Are you making the same mistakes over and over again?

Haha I'm definitely guilty of doing that. I'm the most stubborn person going so when I think something's right, it takes me a few times of doing it before I finally except that it's not the right thing.

15. Forget your real age for a second- now tell yourself how old you are

Probably like 12 tbh. Everyone thinks I look much younger than I am, and at the moment I feel like I'm in a really awkward stage of my life where I keep having to ask people for help. I just feel like I'm lacking the independence at the moment for different reasons, which is something that I hate!

16. How important is social approval for you?

Depends who it's approval from. If it's someone I respect then very important, because I always try to make sure I'm impressing the right sort of people. If it's getting social approval from someone I don't respect, e.g. a racist then I don't mind if they don't approve of my opinions because there's no way I approve of theirs!

17. Do you live for others or for yourself?

Bit of both really. I try to help others as much as a can. But now I'm starting to do things that suit me more. For example, choosing subjects to study that I have an interest in, instead of choosing them because I think they'll impress someone else.

18. What is the last life lesson you learned?

Don't take things for granted. Especially not your health or the people you love. Omg could I get any more cheesy though?!

19. When was the last time you helped someone?

At work because I work as a customer assistant so it's literally my job to help people all day.

20. Did you ever help a complete stranger?

When I was on holiday I helped an elderly lady do her shopping because she couldn't carry her basket or use the lifts by herself.

21. What is your greatest fear?

Not being able to achieve my dream. It's what I work for everyday and I'd hate it if my hard work never paid off.

22. Which word best describes your personality?

Crazy

23. What inspires you?

Watching other people work extremely hard and seeing their success stories.

24. What is the biggest change initiated by you in the past 5 years?

Deciding to take a gap year. This year is the first year since I was 4 that I haven't been in education and to be completely honest I find it so liberating. I'm still not sure if I can face studying again.

25. What's you life's biggest achievement?

Reaching 1000 subscribers on youtube. That was my ultimate youtube subscriber goal and I never though I'd ever reach it in a million years. I know it might not seem a lot to some people, but it's still way more than I could ever imagine.

26. When was the last time you were proud of yourself?

When I turned up for my job interview despite being so incredibly nervous for it, and getting the job on the day.

27. If you could choose any place, where would you live?

Dublin! Since going in the Summer I've realised its literally where I want to spend the rest of my life, it's just so beautiful.

28. What stops you from making the first step towards your dream?

Me, myself and I. I'm constantly telling myself I'm not good enough to do the things I want, so I shouldn't even try.

29. When was the last time you took a risk?

I started linking my youtube channel on my personal instagram so people from my real life are more likely to find it. It's always been a big secret of mine, but now I'm starting to tell more people in my life and not worry about what they might say about it.

30. Who are the three people who had the most powerful influence on you?

I know it's not one person, but my family are always influencing me on the way I live my life. The second person is Jenna Marbles since she was the first person I ever watched on youtube and made me realise I wanted to do that too. And the third person isn't really a person but it's everyone that's supported me with my blog and channel, since without their support I doubt I would have had the courage to continue.

31. What is your deepest secret?

I think Frozen is overrated... there I said it!

32. What is happiness for you?

Listening to Ed Sheeran's music.

33. What habits would you like to quit?

Staying up till crazy hours in the morning learning rap lyrics. As much fun as it is at the time, I hate myself for it when I try and get up the next morning.

34. How much are you ready to sacrifice for a successful career?

If my career is my dream career, everything. If it's not something I'm passionate about then I'm not willing to sacrifice an awful lot if I'm honest.

35. What will you never forget?

My school days. I made a lot of good memories with friends at school which I'll never forget. But I think the thing I'll remember the most about school is how shy I was, and I've now made a promise to myself that I'll never be as unconfident as I was in school again.

36. Which were the most emotional moments of your life?

I get way to invested in TV characters, so when it's an emotional scene in a series, I'm emotional.

37. If you wrote about your life and only mentioned the most colourful, vivid, strong and impressive periods, how many pages would the book be?

That's basically just what my blog is, so however many entries I've written!

38. How many times have you fallen in love?

None lmao I'm the least romantic person you could ever imagine and to be honest I'm not sure if I even believe in it.

39. How many times has your heart been broken?

With the exception of when S Club 7 broke up, none.

40. What makes you keep motivated?

I'm definitely a workaholic so that would be completing my check list and keeping my eyes on the prize at all times.

41. Do you give up too soon?

If anything the opposite. I don't get the hint when something's not working out and spend too long trying to make things happen when they never will.

42. Do you know how it feels to wake up with a smile?

Nope, and even if I did ever know that feeling I've definitely forgotten it by now!

43. When was the last time you cried?

I'm a cry baby. I cry when I'm really happy, I cry when I'm really sad and I just cry constantly so probably today or yesterday.

44. Do you like your birthdays?

Is the Pope Catholic?

45. Are you at peace with yourself?

More than I've ever been but there's still a lot of work to be done haha!

46. If not for the financial matters, would you still be working where you're working now?

I definitely applied for my job because I needed that $$$ but with that said I'm so happy I'm doing my job role. It involves doing so many things out of my comfort zone and if you told me one year ago that I'd be just talking to random members of the public and actually enjoying it, I'd never believe you. So my job role has definitely done me the world of good and I'm happy I went for it.

47. How much time do you spend on social networks?

All of it. I spend all my free time on social media, as I said, I think I have an addiction.

48. Is your cup half empty or half full?

I'm the biggest pessimist going so definitely half empty (something I'm working on though!)

49. Have you ever experienced a paradigm shift?

A whaty shift?

50. Do you usually listen to your heart or brain?

I have a pretty reliable gut instinct, so I definitely go with what my heart is saying, even if my brain is telling me it's wrong. I literally believe I'm psychic so my heart doesn't normally let me down.

Thank you very much for reading my little ramble. The song of the day is I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz, and feel free to give this tag a go yourself if you haven't already,

Weekly Summary: Fourth Week Of October

Hey guys,

Can you believe it's already Sunday? That means its time for my weekly summary post, where I share what I've posted on my channel this week. And this week is Halloween themed.

I Don't Know What To Call This Makeup Look tbf

My first video was a makeup "tutorial". Well not really tutorial, it's more a video of me struggling to be creative. But I had a lot of fun coming up with a random (and I mean really random) Halloween/creepy makeup look.

Pumpkin Carving With Gizzy

Last year me and Georgie did a pumpkin carving video, only to discover that I'm actually allergic to pumpkins... woops! So this year we decided to try carving other things and this is how it turned out.

So here's what you may have missed on my channel this week. The song of the day is Replay by Iyaz because it's such a tuuuuune! I hope you enjoy watching/reading,

Izzy K xxx
