My Favourite Shows As A Kid

TV and my childhood went hand in hand. My favourite hobby as a child was honestly sitting in front of the screen, absorbing everything that was shown to me. With that said, it's only natural that I became obsessed with a few programmes, and today I'll be talking about my absolute favourite childhood shows.

The only TV couple I ship

Stupid- This was my ALL time favourite TV programme as a child, and to be honest, some of the sketches from that programme still make me laugh over a decade later. The story line was that there was a "King Stupid" who would watch everyone on the planet on a giant screen, and then he would just decide to ruin people's days by making them behave in stupid and ridiculous ways. My personal favourite characters were Devil Finger and Bendy Wendy! So next time you do something stupid and you wonder why you did it, it may just be King Stupid coming for you ;)

If this doesn't bring back memories, nothing will

Tracey Beaker- Was anyone's childhood complete without watching this teenage girl's adventures in her foster home? Her cheeky pranks and loud personality was definitely something that kept a generation of children captivated on a daily basis.

Don't lie, you can't resist singing along!

Arthur- And I say hey, what a wonderful kind of day. In case you missed all the memes last year, Arthur is an aardvark (who looks more like a hamster lets be honest) who would always entertain us along with his fellow animal friends.

Mortified- This was all about an Aussie teen who's cringy family would forever be mortifying her. Let's face it, we all know that feeling and this programme was too #relatable!

And this is where the bogies game was invented. Iconic, truly iconic!

Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow- If you're wondering what the purpose of this programme was, I've been trying to figure it out for myself for years! Every weekend, the presenters Dick and Dom would fill our TV screens with absolute nonsense, and we as a nation will forever be thankful for that.

So I hope you've all enjoyed diving into my childhood. The song of the day is Love On The Brain by Rhianna. What TV shows were you absolutely obsessed with as a child? Let me know in the comments,

Becoming A Lady

What do I do when I'm bored? I buy myself a title, of course! Not that I actually had to money to spare to waste on rubbish like this. But it's all because of this video, I'm officially called Lady Izzy lmao!

March Shoutouts

And it's that time of the month again where I share 5 channels that I absolutely adore. Everyone I shouted out all put in a crazy amount of effort into their channels and are all genuine youtube friends of mine!

There you are, that's what you might have missed on my channel this week. The song of the day is Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing because I'm watching that film right now and gushing over it! I hope you all have a lovely week,

My Bucket List Top 5 Places To Visit

Since I'm currently on my gap year (I know, it's not like I ever mention it haha) I'm planning on doing a lot of travelling. But sitting down and actually deciding where to go is giving me the most extreme wanderlust; I just want to go EVERYWHERE!

So this has lead me to dream up 5 places that I just have to visit at some point in my life, whether it be this year or not. They are as follows:

Rila Monastery, Bulgaria

My first stop when I'll be travelling this year will be Bulgaria. And the Rila monastery is my personal top place I want to visit whilst there because, well, look at the pictures! How elegant does it look?

Galway, Ireland

I've only been to Ireland once despite wanting to basically spend my whole entire life in that beautiful country. Dublin honestly stole my heart when I visited it but I really want to travel round the rest of it. And if you've listened to Ed Sheeran's latest album as much as I have, you'll probably want to become a Galway girl too (for no particular reason!)

New York City, New York

I don't even remember a time I haven't wanted to visit the city that never sleeps. If you know me well, you'll know that I adore cities, so I only want to go and visit the most hyped one there is.

Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, Iceland

My school's Geography class visited this place (I think), and sadly I didn't take Geography so I was one thing. Jealous. It's safe to say I've literally had my mind and heart set on visiting a lagoon in Iceland ever since then. And plus, I'm a Winter addict so I love anything icey haha!

Venice, Italy

When I think of Italy, I just think of Venice. I remember my mum telling me stories of a city that was covered in canals when I was younger, and ever since then I've wanted to see this city for myself. Like I know here in Birmingham we've technically got more canals covering the city, yet for some reason I've always pictured Venice as being slightly more picturesque than good ol' Brum.

So there we are, these are my top 5 places that I want to travel too. The song of the day is Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran, for no particular reason. Where are your top 5 places that you want to visit? Let me know in the comments,

It's that time of the week again where I share what I've posted on my youtube channel this week, just in case you missed it...

Work Makeup Routine

In this video I basically demonstrated what I pop on my face in 15 minutes that is suitable for where I work. This is essentially my everyday makeup routine, with a slight "work" twist :)

Feeling Grateful And Content

And I don't know about you but I've really had "one of them" lately. Ever in a mood where everything just seems really overwhelming, whether it be good or bad? Well that's my life lately so I wanted to have a reflect on everything that actually is good just to cheer me up haha.

So thank you very much for watching/ reading. The song of the day is The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. I hope you all have a wonderful week,

What You Might Have Missed On My Channel

Let's just address the elephant in the room... it's been a while since I wrote some proper blog posts. As you may know, I write "weekly summary posts" where I share what I've posted on my youtube channel throughout the week. However, it would be rather cheeky of me to try and get away with titling this post "weekly summary" because it's been a while since I posted anything on this blog.

Without trying make excuses, I have been super busy this last month or so and it's been crazy stressful trying to balance everything in my life. Hence why I'm only just starting to catch up with my blogging. So without further ado, here's what you may have missed on my channel:

Winter Snapshots

On my channel I have a "Snapshots" series where I film little clips throughout each season and stick them all together at the end. The result is a summary of my life over the last few months

Orange & Blue Clash Makeup Look

Let's face it we all know that I'm amazing at makeup tutorials *nervous laughter*. But I've been wearing this look quite often recently including in a video where I actually received quite a few compliments on my look. Hence I decided to recreate a tutorial, just in case anyone wanted to see it.

February Favourites

What did I love throughout February? Find out by watching :)

February Sunday Shoutouts

Every month I shoutout 5 of the wonderful channels who have been supporting me on this youtube journey. Thank you so much for everyone who's been supporting me :)

Superdrug Makeup Haul (Cruelty Free)

Oops I brought makeup again when I really need to cut down. But you know what, I'll justify it by saying it's all an investment in my youtube channel. And even better, all products are cruelty free so no animals were harmed in the making of this video :)

I Got An Old Woman Arrested?!

Yep, pretty much what the title says...

TMI Tag

Want to know all the knitty gritty details of my life? Well now you can!

There you are, my little catch up of videos that I've posted. The song of the day is Eraser by Ed Sheeran, because let's face it his album is slaying. I hope you enjoyed watching/reading,

Annoying Things I've Heard Since Working In Retail

As you guys might know, I've been working in a department store since the start of my gap year. I absolutely adore my job to be honest, I click with the people I work with so much. And most of the customers are extremely sweet and I love doing little personal shops for people.

However, there's the odd few customers who I swear come in just to wind people up! And today just seemed to be the day of complaining customers, so I thought I would share some of the most annoying quotes customers have actually said to me:

  • "I'm looking for a top that was in here last week and it was really nice, do you you still have it" The lady then proceeded to give me no further description of the top, no matter how much I asked, despite the fact it was "nice"
  • "Can I pay 30p in cash, and the rest of it on my card
  • "It's spelt 'G' as in 'Ting'" (Literally WTF?!)
  • "Can I make a complaint to a manager, I brought this top last week and I thought you wear the lacey side at the front, but you actually wear it at the back
  • "Well that's just not good enough" -what everyone says once you explain that an item was the last of the stock in the shop, it's not available in any local shops anymore, and it's sold out both in the warehouse and online. Like it's not as if I can say "oh hang on, let me grab my sewing kit, I'll make you one ;)"
  • Me: "Is there anything I can help you with"
Customer "yeah there is, I don't like ANY of the clothes in here"

          Me:  ???

With that said I do still genuinely enjoy my job, and it's done my confidence the world of good. I'm honestly so glad that I got a job in this particular shop because the banter is just quality. I hope you've been able to enjoy my little rant. The song of the day is Touch by Little Mix,
